Fuel Up to Play 60 is a program founded by the National Dairy Council and NFL, in collaboration with USDA, that empowers students to take charge in making small, everyday changes at school. Students can win cool prizes, like an NFL player visit or Super Bowl tickets, for choosing good-for-you foods and getting active for at least 60 minutes every day. We want kids to make a difference not only in their lives, but also their community.
Dole-5 A Day - A comprehensive tool that promotes eating 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables per day for students K-5.
Louisiana's Pandemic-EBT Plan Approved: Portal Open Until June 8th We are encouraged that Louisiana’s plan to distribute Pandemic-Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits has been approved by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). P-EBT is a crisis response nutrition program that has been activated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The program will provide financial assistance to families to help feed as many as 611,430 Louisiana students who have lost access to free or reduced-price school meals due to school closures during the pandemic. Families can receive P-EBT benefits even if they receive Emergency Meals to You boxes or continue to pick up meals from their child’s school or another community site. The Louisiana P-EBT application is open now through 4:30 pm on Monday, June 8th.
