Child Welfare and Attendance

The Plaquemines Parish School Board Child Welfare and Attendance Office provides a variety of services to students and their families. The primary goal of the department is to design effective interventions in the areas of attendance and problems that may cause students to become excessively absent.  Parental contact will also be made when children have difficulty in school and students fail to meet attendance requirements. Community agencies will be contacted as needed to provide families with the necessary resources to overcome obstacles that prevent proper school attendance and adjustment.
