Pupil Appraisal Coordinator/Speech Language Pathologist Coordinator

Julie Gallagher is a speech language pathologist currently working at Woodland Central Office. Her job titles include Pupil Appraisal Coordinator and Speech Language Pathologist Coordinator. Julie earned a Bachelor of Arts from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1973 and a Master of Communication Disorders from LSU Health Sciences Center in 1993. She has worked in Plaquemines Parish since 2008. Julie started her career in Plaquemines Parish at Belle Chasse Middle School. She worked there for 7 years before taking a position as a speech and language diagnostician, and then later was promoted to her current position of Pupil Appraisal Coordinator. Julie holds a Louisiana license in the area of speech language pathology. She is national board certified through the American Speech Language Hearing Association and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). She has experience with clients from birth to geriatrics and has worked in numerous settings including hospitals, nursing homes, early intervention/early learning centers, and public schools.  In her free time, Julie enjoys traveling, walking her dog, and spending time with her family and friends.
