Physical Therapist (Districtwide)

Carol Whitmore is a physical therapist that services all of the schools in Plaquemines Parish.  She obtained her degree from the University of Miami in Florida and moved to New Orleans in 1992 to work at Children's Hospital. Carol has been a physical therapist for 41 years. She currently specializes in pediatrics but spent a large part of her professional career working with a variety of clients with neurological disorders.  Carol is well versed in positioning/seating and the treatment of; CP, Developmental Delays, Down Syndrome, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Acquired brain injuries, ASD, as well as many other disorders. She is passionate about helping her clients achieve the optimal level of independence with mobility and functioning in their natural environment in order to enhance the quality of their lives.
