IEP Coordinator Grades 3-6 Districtwide, Grades 5-8 BCMS
Gretchen Gurley Palmer is an IEP Coordinator for grades 3-6 Districtwide and Grades 5-8 at BCMS. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in History, Alternate Certification in Grades 6-12 Social Studies, and Master of Educational Leadership from the University of New Orleans. Gretchen began her career in Plaquemines Parish Schools as a Social Studies teacher at Port Sulphur High School. She later worked as a Social Studies teacher, Interventionist, Curriculum Specialist, and EL/504 Coordinator at Belle Chasse Middle School. Prior to becoming an IEP Coordinator, Gretchen was an Assistant Principal at Belle Chasse Elementary School. In her spare time, Gretchen enjoys spending time with her daughter Lyla and going to Disney World. For the past four decades, she has also owned, operated, and taught dance at The Dance Company.
