Physical Therapy
Plaquemines Parish Public Schools provide physical therapy services to students with disabilities to aid in independence and participation in the classroom and in other educational activities.
What is Physical Therapy?
According to the LDOE, Physical Therapy means the art and science of physical treatment of any bodily condition to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability by use of physical and other properties of heat, light, water, electricity, sound, massage, therapeutic exercise, mobilization, passive manipulation, mechanical devices, and other physical rehabilitation measures, and shall include physical evaluation, treatment planning, instruction, consultative services, and the supervision of physical supportive personnel.
