SPHS National Honor Society goes to Washington, D.C.

Students from the South Plaquemines High School National Honor Society attended the Leadership Experience and Development (LEAD) Conference in Washington, D.C. LEAD offers experiential leadership skills development to students and advisers of the National Honor Society, the National Junior Honor Society, and the National Association of Student Councils. At LEAD, students and advisers sharpen their leadership skills to improve their school culture and community while networking with their peers from around the country. Students heard from keynote speakers and attended a multitude of sessions over the weekend and were able to network with students from schools in 31 states and 4 countries. In addition to attending the conference, students toured our Nation's Capital and gained firsthand knowledge of our country's recent transition of power. The following students attended the conference and can be pictured below: Bao Tran, Jillian Mina, Richard Lim, Tanner Goodman, VinLisa Khoeum, Kyle Morton, Uyen Le, Kim Sieng, Maya Phillips, Katie Hotard, and Ella Serpas.
