About Student Privacy

The Louisiana Legislature passed ACT 677, which requires the Louisiana Department of Education (LDE) and the Local Education Authority (LEA) to provide information on their websites about the sharing of students’ personally identifiable information (PII). The law defines PII as information about an individual that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact or locate a single individual. The State Department of Education has negotiated contracts with companies that are on statewide contracts. You can view those by clicking here: DOE Contracts.

In addition to the state contracts, our schools enter into agreements at the school level. This list is a dynamic list due to the nature of instruction and is kept on file at the Woodland Central Office.  The list can be reviewed upon request to Kenny Petkovich, Director of Secondary Education, 1484 Woodland Hwy., Belle Chasse, LA (504) 595-6340.

Please note that the Plaquemines Parish School Board requires that all vendors adhere to the terms outlined in ACT 837 for protecting, sharing and destroying student information.
