POLITICAL ACTIVITIES

The Plaquemines Parish School Board recognizes the right of its employees and students, as citizens, to engage in political activity.  At the same time, however, the School Board recognizes the disruption to the educational process that can be created through partisan political activities conducted by school personnel and/or students or on school grounds. Therefore, the School Board shall prohibit all political activities, with the exception of certain educational activities (i.e. student council, Beta, etc.)  This prohibition shall include the wearing of clothing, buttons, etc., advertising political candidates, political parties, and political proposition by employees and students within school facilities and/or on school property.
