Belle Chasse High School Relay For Life Raises over $13,000!

Belle Chasse High School recently participated in the American Cancer Society's Westbank Relay for Life. Three teams comprised of teachers, administrators, staff, and students walked in the Westbank Relay for Life on Saturday, April 19th. The teams would like to thank the Belle Chasse community for their support.

At the Relay, the teams manned a booth were they painted faces and had a duck pond! Their theme was Survivor, for the TV show AND for the cancer survivors! Before the relay, the team was hard at work raising money:
- Community donations were collected
- Students recycled hundreds of cell phones for which they received money
- Sponsored a Caps for Cancer day
- Sponsored a Relay for Life Dance where students paid $10 for admission to the dance and enjoyed free pizza, ice cream, drinks, and chips.

The Belle Chasse High School "family" of administration, teachers, staff, and students is so proud of their accomplishments. Relay for Life captains were Marty Spear and Christina Gros.
