Prime Time for South Plaquemines
A prime-time family reading program was held earlier this semester on the South Plaquemines Elementary School campus. Families from South Plaquemines, Boothville, and Phoenix were all invited to participate.
This program was supported by a grant from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and was administered by Theresita Ancar, Sharoine Davis, Anne Templet, and Ellen Condry. Janel Mumme handled the pre-school portion of the program. A professional story teller and a scholar were provided by the grant.
This six-week event was a wonderful collaboration between LaSIG and Title I, and a great time was had by all!
