The management and employees of Pelican Commercial Waste Services would like to dedicate a portion of their 2007 profit sharing benefits to the members of the South Plaquemines High School 1A State Championship Football Team. Pelican Commercial Waste Services employees, many of them graduates of the public schools in the south end of the parish, will present a $10,000 check for the purchase of state championship rings for all the players at the school. The presentation will take place at the next meeting of the Plaquemines Parish School Board, Wednesday, February 13, 2008, 6 PM, at Phoenix High School. When the rings arrive, Pelican would be pleased to be a part of the ring ceremony at South Plaquemines. This donation is a continuing commitment to the success of Plaquemines Parish schools.
