Plaquemines Parish sixth, seventh, and eighth star readers enjoyed themselves at the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam at the New Orleans Arena on Friday, February 15.  To be eligible to attend the game and festivities, students had to read 2 books of at least 100 pages and pass the Accelerated Reader Quiz on each book between November 1 and January 15.  The NBA treated the 81 students from Belle Chasse Middle, South Plaqemines Elementary and High, and Boothville-Venice Elementary to jerseys, lanyards, refreshments, transportation, and tickets to the game.
