SIX SCHOOLS RECEIVE IMPROVEMENT AWARDS
Six of our parish schools have received monetary awards for School Improvement for the 2004-2005 school year from the State Department of Education. Exemplary Academic Growth awards went to Belle Chasse High School in the amount of $11,753.12, to Belle Chasse Middle in the amount of $11,104.36, to Phoenix High School for $5,356.04, to Port Sulphur High School for $9,324.04, and to Buras Middle School for $5000.00. Boothville-Venice High School received an award for Recognized Academic Growth in the amount of $4,656.99.
In addition to the Recognition and monetary awards, each school received a flag to display at the school with their distinctive growth title on it.
