BCMS Sends its Love and Support to Owen "Boo" Borne

(L to R) 8th Graders Kelsey May and Jessica Finley

Owen "Boo" Borne is a two year resident of Belle Chasse who was diagnosed a little over a year ago with a a rare form of liver cancer.  Boo is the son of Trudi Pignoli Borne, an educator at Belle Chasse High School, and Owen Borne.  Young Boo has had several chemotherapy treatments due to his cancer.  Boo recently had a transplant and his father gave him a portion of his liver.

The Belle Chasse Middle School Beta Club had a fundraiser to help the Borne family with their expenses.  Students, faculty, and even some local businesses helped raise $6,822.05.  We would like to thank everybody for contributing to this cause.  Without your generosity we would not have been able to raise this amount of money for one of our own Plaquemines' families.
