On Saturday, January 20th, the BCMS Junior Beta club attended District 1 Beta Day at Riverdale Middle School.  Over 500 students from 15 different schools from across the New Orleans area competed in academic and talent competitions.  BCMS's quiz bowl team made up of Kohl Thimmesch, Elizabeth Corso, Amanda Morice, and Chance Boudreaux placed 3rd.  Their t-shirt won 2nd place and Rhett Orgeron's design for their banner won 3rd place.  The club also took home first place in the group talent competition.  The Beta Club willnow travel to Lafayette in May to compete at the Louisiana Junior Beta State Convention.
