BELLE CHASSE PRIMARY VISION AND GOALS FOR 2009-2010

We the administration, faculty, and staff of BCP embrace the diversity of our children in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where students are actively engaged in developing the skills necessary to meet the challenges of tomorrow. We are dedicated to the intellectual, social, emotional, aesthetic, moral, and physical needs to our students. We believe in the importance of a mastery of academic subjects, the development of a strong self image, an appreciation, and respect for the individual right of others and the development of self discipline, self motivation, and perseverance. We believe that the school, home, and community share this responsibility.

GOALS

o To provide an informed, competent, concerned, and motivated faculty and administration who will work collaboratively for all students.
o To develop good citizenship and a caring, cooperative attitude among the
student body by serving as role models.
o To develop the whole student by providing academic and personal guidance,
physical training, and extra-curricular activities.
o To help students develop respect for authority and the rights of others.
o To create a climate for self-motivation so the student is an active participant
in the learning process.
o To provide for individual differences by using multiple teaching techniques
and materials so that the students may grasp concepts and learn at their own rate.
o To create an environment conducive to learning in the individual classroom
through the use of bulletin boards and other attractive and informative educational materials
