How will I know if my child's intervention is successful?

If your child is matched with an intervention, his or her progress will be monitored frequently – daily, in some cases, and weekly in others-- depending on the intervention. Teachers will use very brief assessments or rating scales to measure your child’s progress. If your student achieves grade-level success, the intervention will be faded. If a student’s progress data shows limited growth, then, with parent/guardian permission, he or she will be matched with a more intensive Tier III intervention. You will be given your child’s intervention progress have the opportunity to participate in decisions about potential changes to your child’s instructional or behavior support programming.
