Google takeout allows you to transfer all of your data from your school Gmail account into your own personal Gmail account the most efficient way to do this is on a computer is it allows you access to both your personal Gmail account after school Gmail account first log in to your student account go to your account settings and shoes control York on then select transfer your content when you choose the transfer option you will be able to create or select the personal Gmail account you want to send your information into the system will send a verification code to your personal Gmail account giving permission to unlock this account and receive your school Gmail and Google Drive if you can't get to your personal Gmail account at school you may want to do this from a home computer or from a library computer that allows you access to Gmail you need to go back to your student account and enter the verification code that's what Google will start transferring your data to your personal Gmail account this could take some time but process is finished you will have all your school data and contacts in your personal account remember when you setup your own Gmail account you could be using this account for college job applications internships and more so be smart name your Gmail account something professional and not a temporary nickname that you will outgrow and let's get star Google takeout  login to your student gmail account click on the 9 box app launcher and choose my account  scroll down and click on control your content scroll down again and click on start transfer  if you don't have a personal Gmail account click on create an account if you do have a personal Gmail account you can enter it at enter an email address for creating an account click create and fill out your information make sure when you create a password you will remember the password consider using your student password but add a few numbers or letters at the end for additional security  if you are on a school computer skip the section entering a phone number you can do that at another time  enter your student email address for your current email address so you can get your verification put on your computer  scroll down and click agree to the Google privacy agreement  click continue and you will be logged into your new email account notice this email is your new at gmail.com account now go back to your transfer your enter your new Gmail address and click Send code go back to your new Gmail tab and there should be an email there with a blue button click the blue get confirmation code button  highlights confirmation code and right click copy go back to transfer your content and right click paste to enter the code in the correct section verify now that your account is verified you can choose the contents you want to transfer click Start transfer the process may take up to a week but you will have all your selected content in your personal account that's it
